Just A Few Recent Sessions

I don't know why or how time seems to go so much faster during the Summer months, but it does. With all the sun bathing, swimming, vacations, sports, catching fire flies and eating my weight in s'mores, time has managed to get away from me and I've neglected my blog.

 

Here is a quick peak of a few recent sessions, including my own family.

Mom & Me Mini's 4-26-2014

This was my first Mom & Me Mini session and I'd say it was a success! After moving the date around a couple times we were able to get them done on April 26th and the weather was almost perfect!

 

The setting was gorgeous and the lighting was beautiful! I really loved doing these, both from the perspective of a photographer and as a Mom. I know how fast they grow and watching these Mama's cherish their babies in the moments that they're in RIGHT now, was amazing!

 I just couldn't help myself with this one.

 

I can't wait to do more of these sessions! I'd like to think that capturing raw, real, natural moments is my photography forte and these sessions provide the PERFECT atmosphere for those shots.

A Best Friend Photo Shoot

Don't you wish you had pictures that captured the essence of your childhood?

Pictures of you and your best friend just being silly and care free. Pictures to capture the innocence of your youth. Pictures that froze time just for a moment that you can forever look back on and cherish?

I do.

But since I can't go back in time and have a photographer follow me around, I decided to give my daughter and her best friend (who happens to be her cousin) a photo shoot of their own.

I know they'll look back on these some day and be flooded with memories of this day and time in their lives.

This is why photography is so important to me. We will always have memories, but to have something concrete and tangible that you can hold from the past....that's beautiful.

 

 

NEW Print Packages!!

I've received a good bit of feedback regarding offering print packages. I realize I can't please evvvvveryone, but it is certainly my intention to try!

I have worked hard the past week or so putting together AFFORDABLE print packages from a lucrative professional printing lab.

Up until now I have been including the edited images on a CD in all of my session fees, and I will CONTINUE doing that. I did however, want to also offer packages for those who prefer to get prints through me. Getting your pictures from a professional lab is well worth the extra few bucks you'll spend. The picture quality is far superior to those of drug stores or walmart.

For now I am offering two packages as well as a la carte options. In the future I may tweak the packages or add a third if necessary.

Package #2:

Twelve 4x6
Eight 5x7
Four 8x10
Two 11x14

Total Price: $76.00

You can add an 8x10 (1.5") Canvas Wrap to any package for only $37.00!

Announcing Referral Program!!

I'm really excited to announce that I'm launching a new referral program for you all!! As a small town, small time photographer I get the majority of my business by word of mouth. I got to thinking about how I could "reward" my clients that recommend me to their friends and families with something other than a 'high five', or a 'shoot and a wink'.

So here it is.

But first here's a picture to look at because a picture-less blog post on a Photographer's blog would be weird.

Ok. Back to the referral program!!

 

Here's how it will work:

 

You refer a friend/family member to me and when they BOOK a photo session and  HOLD that session, YOU will receive a $10 credit for your next session!

 

Example:

 

Meredith refers Babs to me. Babs schedules a session and holds the session. Meredith receives a $10 credit for her next session.

Then Meredith refers Thelma to me. Thelma schedules a session and holds the session.

Meredith receives an ADDITIONAL $10 credit for her next session.

Ole Mere now has a $20 credit to use for her next session.

 

I've always been so good at math.

 

 

The referral credit is limitless. You could earn yourself a completely FREE photo session. DUN DUN DUN.

 

This is open to ANYONE. Current clients, past clients, or someone who has never been a client of mine before but has seen my work and simply referred me. The photo shoot of the Referral must be held BEFORE your photo shoot in order to get the $10 credit. In some cases, their photo shoot may held the same day in situations of Mini's, etc.

 

 

The person who is referred to me MUST specify who referred them at the time of booking so I can award proper credit.

 

Referral credit will not be given after the booking is scheduled. So in other words, you cannot come to me three weeks after you've already scheduled and say "oh by the way, Babs referred me so give her credit.". It must be done at the TIME of booking. I cannot reiterate that enough.

 

So, there you have it!! I'm really excited to be able to offer this to you!

 

A couple ways you can start working towards your referral credits:

 

*Share my Facebook Page to your facebook wall and invite your friends to come "like" it and check out my work.

 

*Share your pictures with your family and friends that I've done for you. Proudly display a life-size picture board in your home of my work. No. Never mind.

 

*Let your family and friends know about my very affordable rates and NEW referral program! Woot Woot! :) 

 

As a small time photographer I SO appreciate all the business you guys bring me. If you've ever worked with me, you probably can tell how much I sincerely LOVE doing this.

Mini Sessions March 2014

After a LONG and miserable winter, we finally had a break in the weather and I fast took advantage of it! Although, the weather wasn't perfect, it was warm enough to get some "coatless" shots without freezing to death! I picked a new location for these shots and totally LOVED it! Despite the dead grass and brown trees, it made for a great backdrop!!

 

Looking forward to another Mini Session that will be held in April! Hopefully if the weather cooperates, it'll be warm and sunny!! :)
